🌸 Blooms in Watercolor - Soft Petals, Gentle Stories & Creative Play

The Printable Collection by Morning Dewdrops

I love the way the pigments in watercolor wander wherever the water goes.  Even though, the soft edges are created, you also learn everything in life does not have to stay inside the lines.

That’s the spirit behind my Blooms in Watercolor collection — a field of loose, joyful flowers painted in warm oranges, soft pinks, glowing purples, and leafy greens. Each bloom grew from the simple pleasure of letting color dance across the page.  I am not a traditionalist when it comes to watercolor. The watercolor flowers are expressive and weren’t painted with perfection in mind.  They were painted with freedom. And I hope that’s how you use them too.

🌿 Where the Blooms Began

I painted these flowers much like you’d gather wild blossoms and each stem has its own personality: airy, light, summer sunsets, soft breezes.

As I painted, I imagined them tucked into journals, layered over lace, scattered across collage pages, or slipping right out of teacups in a mixed-media scene. These blooms feel alive, playful, and ready to become part of your own creative story.

🌸 What’s Inside the Printable Collection

Your download includes:

  • 5 original, hand-painted watercolor bloom pages (PNG files)
  • 12 additional pages filled with blooms sized from
    1–2 inches, 2–3 inches, 3–4 inches, 4–5 inches, 5–6 inches, and 6–7 inches

That’s a full bouquet of blooms in every size you could need — tiny enough for clusters, large enough for focal points, and everything in between.

🌼 Ways to Use Your Watercolor Blooms

These blooms can slip into almost any kind of creative project. Here are some of my favorite ways:

💐 1. Art Journaling Fodder

Cut them, tear them, layer them — let the blooms wander across your pages just like they wandered across my watercolor paper.

They make beautiful:

  • corner clusters
  • page borders
  • layered collage elements
  • storytelling accents

Tuck them behind one of your painted ladies, let them fall out of a teacup, or fill an entire spread with petals.

 ✂️ 2. Handmade Cards & Notes

Print the blooms in smaller sizes for:

  • birthday cards
  • encouragement notes
  • thank-you cards
  • gift tags

Their soft hues make even the simplest message feel heartfelt.

🌿 3. Journal Covers & Inserts

The larger blooms (4–7 inches) are perfect for:

  • journal covers
  • flip-outs
  • tip-ins
  • foldover pockets

Pair them with lace, vellum, stitching, or textured paper to create an heirloom feel.

🌼 4. Mixed Media Collage

Layer blooms with:

  • fabric scraps
  • stamped backgrounds
  • stenciled shapes
  • tea-dyed paper
  • or even your teacup printables

They become beautiful storytelling elements that add life and movement to your pages.

🌸 5. Wall Art & Framed Botanicals

Print the full-size PNG bloom pages on watercolor paper for instant wall art.

Frame one.
Or frame a set.
They bring a soft cottage feel to any space.

🌺 May Your Pages Bloom Too

Whether you use these watercolor flowers to fill a teacup, trail across a journal page, or create a garden of cards for someone you love, I hope they bring you the same sense of joy I felt while painting them.

Let them bloom in your own unique way — imperfect, expressive, and completely yours.

Thanks Terri
