This is Daisy. She is painted with DIY Paint.

Daisy is wearing a vintage dress for a morning out, perhaps a garden or tea party.
Daisy's ensemble captured my heart the moment I sketched her, and I knew she belonged in The Printable Collection by Morning Dewdrops.
Daisy is wearing a blouse scattered with polka dots and a tiered, ruffle skirt in a watercolor periwinkle blue, nostalgic of vintage fashion plates. To finish her look, Daisy is holding a freshly picked bouquet of wildflowers and she didn't forget her wide-brim sun hat.
A little bit 1920s garden fashion, a little Southern tea-time sweetness, and entirely Morning Dewdrops.
This is Ivy and she is painted with DIY Paint

Ivy wandered into my sketchbook with a lot of country charm.
She reminds me of the character Jesse Burns played by Emily Lloyd in the movie,
"A River Runs Through It"
Ivy is wearing a well-worn green, shift dress with her favorite pink cloche hat. She picked some flowers from a neighbor's yard on her way to town. She's not afraid to mix eras because her pink boots and hat could easily be worn today, vintage-style.
To me, Ivy expresses joy and authenticity - she knows who she is. Morning Dewdrops certainly can appreciate those qualities in one of our character.
I worked in small and large handmade journals and it's so nice to have multiple sizes of these ladies in the downloadable PDF.

Here are some inspirational ideas of how to create with these ladies in your art journaling, junk journaling, mixed media, wall art or textile art, etc.
I visited England this summer and was inspired by their love of tea. I created a hand-made art journal with the theme of Tea Darlings Are Snobs. They bring their own teabags.

Daisy is carrying her teabag and is resting in a China teacup, but she can come out and play among the blue hydrangeas. I placed her in a bed of blue hydrangeas painted with DIY Paint. I used a Gelli Plate for some of the background colors and the textured transparent paper on the upper left was collaged in and created with a stencil and DIY Paint White Swan mixed with DIY Paint Frosting (a thickening agent).

Ivy is resting in her patterned teacup, but can get out to pick other flowers in the garden, featuring watercolor flowers and leaves. I painted the background with DIY Paint and also used some pressed flowers. The flowers can be changed in either teacup and are from the Blooms In Watercolor Printable Collection.

These two images are a spread from an art journal. The background is decoupaged with a napkin. Daisy and Ivy are featured in textured-frames painted with DIY Paint and Cooper Patina. Daisy is resting in a pastel teacup (The Teacup Pastels Collection) and Ivy is resting in a China teacup (The Teacup China Collection).
The birds could easily take them for a flight because each can be taken from her teacup. They are both quite small here - This is a 5x7 journal and they are only about about 2x3.
Please let me know what you think of our new Printable Collection by Morning Dewdrops. We've been working for months to get it up for you with exclusive paintings and inspirational ideas.
